The Admissions Process
The admission process begins when you
create an account and apply online. The online application will guide you through the requirements of the admission process. If you do not have time to complete the application you can still start the process and then save the rest for later.
Bermuda College practices rolling admissions which means we review each application and offer an admission decision within approximately four weeks of receiving all the required documents.
Students who are enrolled in high school at the time of admission to Bermuda College are expected to meet their graduation requirements. Final high school transcripts must be submitted to the Bermuda College Student Enrolment, Registration and Records Office as soon as possible after graduation.
Student Assessment
Students are required to take the Computerized Placement Test. The CPT is used to assess entry-level skills in mathematics, English and writing. We realize that students can graduate from high school meeting minimum academic requirements. Sometimes the courses taken in high school may not adequately prepare students to meet success in college level courses. Students who have completed college level English and mathematics at another tertiary institution with a minimum grade of C will not be required to take the CPT.

Course Placement Policy
Based on the result of the CPT, high school transcript, SAT and any other tests taken, you and your advisor will select appropriate courses to start you on your path to success. Placement in preparatory courses may be required depending on your scores and academic goals. Preparatory courses serve as prerequisites to college level courses. A grade of “C” or better must be attained in preparatory courses for admission to college level courses.
Every new student at Bermuda College must take the CPT and meet with a counsellor in the
Counselling and Career Centre. During this session the counsellor will counsel you regarding your career goals and offer recommendations to manage your path to success at Bermuda College. Following that, you will be assigned an academic advisor who will assist you in selecting the appropriate courses to complete a programme of study. You will then attend an orientation session and register for classes.
Registration is the process of preparing your academic schedule for the year. Registration is complete after you have selected courses, collected your schedule and paid tuition and fees to the Business Office. Once this is done you will obtain your photo student identification, library card, locker, computer password and be able to purchase textbooks.
