Learning Styles

A learning style (preference) is the way an individual tends to learn best. If you ever wondered why you have difficulty learning from a particular instructor or question why the class that your friend finds easy is a struggle for you?
The potential answer may be within learning style!

Your learning style identifies your preferred method of taking in, organizing, and making sense of information.  Your style can help you understand why some tasks seem easier than others.

Proven benefits to knowing and understanding your learning style are
• people learn best when content delivery closely match with their preferred learning style
• we can often improve our retention of content by knowing what our areas of weakness are and trying to enhance our skills in these areas
• different situations and learning environments require different learning strategies
