Will training be provided on how to access the University of Kent website, download lectures and in navigating online legal resources?
Before classes begin, there is an induction period during which students are trained to access the University of Kent's student portal and online legal resources.
Is the Programme offered full-time or part-time?
The programme is offered both full-time and part-time. To be considered part-time, a student must enrol in no more than two 30 credit modules over no longer than three years. Enrolment in all five modules will be considered full-time and the Programme can be completed in one year. All seminars are held during the evening, one per course per week.
Are all applicants required to write the personal statement as part of the application process?
No. Only persons applying as ‘mature’ applicants or ‘short term’ applicants are required to write the Personal Statement.
How do students access Kent Law School lectures?
Students registered in the Programme are issued usernames and passwords which enable them to gain access to secure sites on the University of Kent website.
Is the Programme run primarily through the use of the Internet?
The Programme combines use of the Internet with face to face interaction. Lectures, handouts and most seminar materials as well as most legal resources are available on the Internet. Seminars are held on the Bermuda College campus.
