Student Government Council
(SGC)

The Student Government Council serves as an advocate of student concerns, enhances student life on campus with social and other activities, and fosters stronger bonds with the general campus and external community. SGC maintain offices on the second level of the Student Centre.

The Student Government Office is served by a Student Government Advisor, a president, treasurer, secretary and six senators (2 from each academic division). Senatorial appointments are reviewed in September, allowing incoming freshmen to participate and gain experience in the operations of the SGC. Executive elections are held in January to provide a handover and training period for the incoming executive.
